Based in the picturesque region of Provence, Claire is a British contemporary textile artist. She is an artist to whom the use of colour comes first to everything else. Instinctively drawn to the natural world, Claire finds all her inspiration there.
Using photography, drawing and shadow play as background stories, Claire manages to bring the outside world into our living and working spaces with her use of mixed natural fibres, and threads that enrich and bring joy and warmth to any space.
Claire has always had a keen interest in colour, its psychological effects and all forms of textile art. She developed these passions studying Embroidery at Manchester Metropolitan University, which lead her into various creative pursuits.
